Holidays & Weight Management Update

So yeah I have seriously gone MIA, but have returned, have some good and bad news for you.

Bad news: I gained weight lol, I blame myself and the holidays hehe.

Good News: I have discovered serious juicing!

I was doing fine with my eating up until after my birthday, then I slowly progressed to not eating as good end of December I had already discovered juicing with Joe Cross after watching his 2 documentaries. Then found him on Facebook. He offered 5 day pan for free, we jumped on it, as my fiance since he stopped smoking, has gained weight, and he was never unhealthy, but it does cause me concern, so he will be trying the juicing, not as intense as I will.

So after joining his support group, and the challenge which will run for 5 days, I choose to go for 60, which is what he dod, and made it. If he can, I can and I will! I am determined.

Ok so I signed up, we would get periodic emails, I wasn’t getting any, at least I didn’t see them, there was 1, that got lost in old emails *sigh*, it was crucial, as it arrived on Jan 1st, and would show us how to prepare for juicing. Well, I found it 3 days ago, meanwhile since I knew I would be juicing, I ate anything and everything I had not been eating for the last year and a half lol, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t over eat, except for cookies and cupcakes LOL. I enjoyed what I knew was bad, especially after watching his documentaries, and one or two others. So disgusting what they don’t tell you about the stuff we put in our bodies, this definitely opened up my eyes.

Well I continued weighing in, as I always have and will do. I obviously gained weight. I an hoping to drop 50-60 lbs during my juicing, more if possible.

I will be logging my weigh-ins, and possible short posts about how I am feeling, for my own record On Monday I will weigh-in again, even though I will on Saturday, but it is for record keeping and keeping a more accurate record of my weigh-in on Day 1 of my 60 day juicing period.

Here are some links to the documentaries, which are found on Netflix, or you could buy the DVD, we got a free DVD with the juicer we bought. Will show that too later.

Dieting and Me

Not on a dietSo it has been a while since I posted. I have been super busy with some of my other websites, but now that I have that in order *yay* I can start blogging normally. So the last I posted about was the biggest loser, I’m not going to get into that, instead I am going to briefly talk about my dieting, as the title suggests.

In January 2014, I decided to finally fulfill one of my New Years resolutions, I’m trying to do more than one but a big one that a lot of us have a hard time keeping up with is losing weight. So I dove right in. Found out what my calorie intake should be, it’s 1,660, and I have been doing wonderful. Being that the weather has been so cold, going out and walking was not an option, because I have a bad knee and I don’t want to risk walking and slipping and re-injuring my knee, because that will lead to hospital time and a big fat bill.

I had already been in the hospital this year, I don’t want to go again. So I am waiting for some wonderful warm weather to start so I can start my walking, even if it is just to the laundry facility here in the complex, it’s something, then go to the Post office and CVS. I think it’s a beginning. To date I have lost 32.5 lbs, I am very proud of that, because that is the most I ever lost in my life, being at the weight I am now, which I am too embarrassed to share at this moment heh It is a slow process, as you all know, losing is harder than gaining. I’m planning to perhaps get a treadmill for walking at home. Any suggestions? Nordictrack looks good. But we’ll see.

My eating habit is much better. I’ve been eating some prepared meals, mostly at lunch time. Everything I consume is charted, in my handy MyFitnessPal app, it’s a great app, I’m sure I have talked about it before. William usually will buy me the Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine etc, since I only have them for lunch, occasionally dinner they last. So when a sale comes around, you know we are buying. I know don’t use reg sugar, I use substitute sugar, I’m happy with Truvia and Stevia Organic, I drink fat free milk, I use fat free cheese, always looking for the lowest calorie items.

William is my #1 supporter on this, since he is here. He is incredible, and I thank the lord I found someone like that, none of my ex’s were like that, I tell you, HE IS THE ONE, for me anyway. I’m not ready to show photos of myself, again way too embarrased, but when I have felt that I see a difference, perhaps then I will. I have to say I do feel it. I use to walk up the stairs and get winded out before I reached the top, no longer happens, I am so happy. You have no idea. This is my journey, I thank you for coming along with me. You can see what I eat, I post photos on instagram, you can see that on the sidebar to the right. Follow if you like, and if you are a MyFitnessPal user, add me as a friend, or contact me here on this site, I’ll look for you.

Ok that is it for now, have a great day!
