So I really can’t say any hero let me down. Yeah I have had people let me down tremendously in my life, but none that I would put on a pedestal as to be called a ‘Hero’. There are people that I have looked up to, but never to that extent.

If I had to really pick a hero, it would of been my mother (God rest her soul), my mother was wonderful person, very loving and affectionate, she was the heart of the family. After she passed away, the family fell apart, things were never the same. It saddens me to think of that, but it’s true. She was everything to everyone, we idolised her so much. Gosh I really miss her *sad moment* yeah, that would be my answer there.

So really in the end, I didn’t really have a Hero that has let me down.

Happy Valentine’s Day! That’s right it’s a Valentine’s Day post. But more importantly are those 6-7 words in my title! You really don’t need to have a man or a woman in your life, to have a great Valentine’s day. There are so many ways to spread love, with friends, other family members, and yes even strangers!! A random act of kindness goes a long way. You can do some blog hopping, and stumble upon someones blog and leave them a super cool comment, that will make their day. You may not know if you did, but what if you did? Wouldn’t that be amazing? A good feeling I would think. If someones blog is one of those ‘I hate Valentine’s Day’, ‘It just another day’, ‘We don’t celebrate it’, ‘I am single today’, etc. Well maybe a nice comment can make that person feel a lot better. I hope to spread the love today

Moving along now. Did you happen to see Google’s logo, the adorable Valentine’s Day animation, it’s darling! I absolutely loved it. Imagine putting a smile on someone’s face, not because you give them all kinds of gifts, but just because you share in something they like. Wow who would of thought?

I joined that website Screenr, and when Google posts those cute animations, I can’t help but record them. It’s really nice to see what has happened during the year. I just started doing it, but I usually just record the animated ones. It can actually be used for all types of things, I don’t think it records very long, but enough to show say a tutorial of something. Just thought I would share.

So what am I getting William for Valentine’s Day, well I am getting him a really nice watch, he needed another one, he seems to go through them so quickly fast! I hope he likes it, the problem is, that it’s not arriving until after Valentine’s Day, but I got him another little goody to hold him over. Hopefully it comes by end of week. I know I should of done this earlier, and I should of, oh lazy me boo on me lol. For Valentine’s Day he got me my new phone, it’s an amazing electronic device, I love it to bits. I got the new Samsung Nexus, it’s just to awesome. I am so very happy to have got rid of the Blackberry, it was so ancient. I can’t believe how fast that faded out. Hope the Nexus doesn’t. But I’m a happy camper!

Anyway that’s it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s with someone you care about, it could be anyone, even your dog or cat or even a fish

I know there are other towns in New England that got a lot more than cute ‘little’ flurries, I looked forward to the snow.

Growing up in California, I didn’t see much snow, unless I went up to Big Bear Mountain sky resort, and that was like never lol. I moved up to the high desert for awhile, and we got snow there, so that was pretty exciting. When I finally moved to Massachusetts, I got the opportunity to experience true snow days! I absolutely loved it! I looked forward to this winter ever since I moved here. We have yet to see another good drop of snow *wishes*. I guess we will see what the rest of this winter has in store for us.

I was watching the news earlier this week, and I seen that video about that 7 year old little girl from Georgia, out shopping with her mother at a Walmart. She was literally almost abducted, during the day, in a busy place like Walmart. I cannot believe the balls that people have these days to do such horrendous things. The little girl was a fighter, and good for her, she managed to get away, and it was all caught on surveillance! I can only imagine the horror she felt. After the guy let her go, and ran off, the little girl stood there, hesitated, and then ran up an isle, I think she may have seen him coming back. Thank you good Lord for helping this girl. Apparently the little girl recalled her ‘Stranger Danger Training’, that may have very well saved her life. All parents should teach their child that same training. I’m sure everyone must of heard about this by now, but if not here is the video!

Click here to view the embedded video.

Wow hey? That little girl is one brave child, and did the right thing. Her training truly saved her. Well there you go, you cannot be to careful, day or night, it really doesn’t matter. And we as fellow shoppers or whatever the situation could be, don’t shrug your shoulder thinking ‘oh it’s just a little girl giving her daddy or mommy a hard time’ because it could very well be more than it is, so we all should pay a little bit of attention to our surroundings. Don’t be afraid to step in, I’d rather be wrong and yelled at, than think I could of saved someone’s life.

This 30 DOT is a really super hard one, because I have never really turned to music for comfort in situations, I feel odd saying that, because I know a lot of people do. I guess I’m the odd one then. I think listening to music would depress me more than lift my spirits, funny I know, but I feel that is true for myself. I’m going to give myself some time to think about this, but honestly I don’t think I can come up with anything.

Well I thought about it, long and hard, and I still can’t really connect with any band or artist. As much as I would like, there isn’t any at all. I think when tough times come, I just want peace, maybe do a bit of reading or watch a film. But as much as I love music, not one song I can think of has ever been comforting. They are all just different, and even though some may start to relate it goes into a different direction.

I have to say that I am glad that some can use music to get them through tough times. I guess we all have different ways of dealing with tough times. Some, like myself want some peace and quiet to do a little reading, some like music, some cry, some eat, some job. Everyone finds their niche that works for them. Although I have to say I listen to music when I do just about everything, well except reading, writing a blog post or watching TV. It would be way to hard to concentrate on reading and listening to music. As it is my mind gets distracted way to easily when I am just reading. Lol.

Ok so saying I ‘never’ get compliments on something, is going a bit to far because honestly everyone gets compliments about something at some time in their life time, even if they don’t remember, I am pretty sure they have. At first I was going to say I never got compliments on my smile, but I am glad I thought about it because even though I don’t get ‘as much’ compliments on my smile, I have indeed gotten them. Especially from my wonderful better half, William. And I am certain if I think back in time, I could find a handful of compliments about smile, if I really thought about it.

Day 12: Something You Never Get Compliments On

So in all honesty, I cannot think of anything I haven’t gotten a compliment on, even though the amount of compliments have been less than I would of wanted and that maybe because I am not happy with my teeth right now (I know some rude people would probably say, ‘so get them fixed’) and that is always easier said then done, especially when you are having personal financial hardships. My parents being immigrants, both working as we are growing trying to give us all they could, sadly weren’t able to provide that dental care we needed. Not braces anyway, reg check ups maybe, but something as costly as braces, just wasn’t in the budget.

Living with my teeth crooked teeth (front top) is partially my fault, not my parents, and when I say my fault, I mean as a child growing up. I was constantly told not to rub my gums with my tongue, but i was such a stubborn little girl, that I did it anyway, never thinking it was going to leave a lasting effect, and it did. Now I know as a child I didn’t know better, and I’m not going to say as an adult I should know better, my teeth are relatively healthy I have a few cavities, but I still do need braces. So naturally because of this I don’t smile as much as I would like to. As an adult, the hardship have prevented me from being able to reach a place in my life where I could afford them, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I know I will get them, and have that smile I have always wanted.

Oh wow this is going to be a very easy one. What am I going on about? As the title says, it’s Days Of Truth time, and we are on Day 11! This question is a no brainer for me, because it happens constantly, not only by William but when I am out and about as well. I’ve written about it before, actually just recently, perhaps last week I think, yeah that recent. Ok time for the question.

Day 11: Something people seem to compliment you the most on

As I mentioned about, I have written about it before. I wrote that I wanted to cut it, but wasn’t sure what style to go with, and I am still on the fence about that, no real decision has been made yet. I get compliments constantly from Williams family, William himself, from strangers when we are out doing some shopping. It’s probably one of the most obvious things about me when you see me, not the only one, but ONE of the top ones. So that is my answer to today’s Days of Truth.

My hair is long, it’s down probably past my bum. I have had many styles, and I enjoyed them all, but I came to a point in my life when I said to myself, I want to let my hair grow, and I finally did. Now I’m at another stage where I say to myself, ‘My hair is annoying at times, it gets in the way too much’. So the only solution I can think of is to get a hair cut, I love my hair long, don’t get me wrong, but I want more volume in it, and something other than just straight! When I will do this, I am not sure.

This has been said over and over again. Judging people before even getting to know them. That really get’s to me, but you know on that same note, I think in some way or another we all do it, instinctively when we meet someone, we haven’t got to know them or anything, but right away we are judging if we like this person or not! Why do we do this? I don’t know, but I’m sure there are plenty of explanations out there as to why.

I was watching Big Brother Celebrity this season, I just love those reality TV shows, not all of them, but most I do, it’s the drama that makes me laugh to be quite honest. Well anyway the celebrities were being introduced one by one, the second celebrity to go in was Andrew Stone, my first impression is, he’s full of himself, and thinks he can get all the girls, and I thought he probably can.

He’s a good looking guy, and had an adorable smile. The photos they were plastering of him all over the huge screens gave an all too different impression of who he was, then when he came walking in. He didn’t look like the photos they had of him. And this is me judging him lol. His hair was cut short on one side, much like this photo here, and he just bounced around like a cute little drag queen, sorry but that was my impression (hence judging). So I immediately thought, wow this guy must be gay, that’s cool!! I really did think that was very cool too.

Well after about a week or two of seeing him on the show, I thought wow he is definitely gay, but he kept on insisting he wasn’t. Now I don’t know if he is or not. I don’t know this guy, but the guy I seen in the show was nothing like what I expected to see from the photos they were showing on the first day. Was I disappointed? Not really, sort of? Lol. At first he seemed very cool, and laid back, and fun, always smiling. But then things started to change, he started to change, and really for no reason people just stopped liking him. I don’t know if it was because they felt he was gay, but kept insisting he wasn’t I really don’t know. And truthfully it’s no ones damn business!

My whole point of this is, we all judge, even if we don’t want to, we are all being judged. I am being judged by what I write! It’s just a fact, but some people go over the top with it, and that is when it gets on my nerves. Okay so we do some pre-judging, but give a person a chance, really, get to know then before you toss a stone!

I feel this was more of a rant? Na, I had been thinking about people thinking they know you but they really don’t, because they never gave you the chance. I was once called ‘weird’ and you know I have been called all kinds of names, by all kinds of people hehe, but why did this bother me? Maybe because the person pretended to be my friend, I think that is why this affected me the most. Eventually that memory will fade, I can only hope so. So I am weird, in a good way hehe.

It’s February, that means you will see everything and anything that has to do with Valentine’s, I know some over do it, but some look so forward to this day, only to be disappointed if it doesn’t come out as they’d hoped. And that is exactly why you shouldn’t expect to much. I feel it’s better that you don’t so that you aren’t disappointed in the end. The last thing one wants is a constant reminder of how bad Valentine’s went for them. So I am not going to expect much, but hugs and kisses from my one and only William! As long as he is in my life, I am happy

What really gets to me is when I start seeing blogs or twitter posts of people that absolutely hate Valentine’s. Makes me wonder what happened in their life to make them feel that way. Were they dumped, did their significant other break it off with them on a day like Valentine’s Day, which by the way is probably the worse time to break up with someone. It can be scarring. Or perhaps you caught your other half cheating on you, what ever it is, I always say, never give up on love. Even if its not that intimate love from another person, but love from family or friends.

I really can’t believe that anyone that hates Valentine’s Day would only have friends that hate it as well. I hope someone reaches out to them, it’s just so sad to see that kind of stuff, to read it, I feel for them, I really do. I will be wondering about this all month, I may even get the courage to actually ask them, and hope they can give me a real reason, not that they have to, but if they put it out there on the internet they should expect some kind of feedback, after all that is why you blogged/tweeted about it, right?

I know I’m probably talking about this way too early, but hey this is when all the advertisement starts, actually it started like a week ago, lol, but thought I’d write about it.

So I am continuing on with my ‘Days of Truth’ meme, I quite like it, I just wish I knew more people that did it, it’s a really good way to get to know someone better, even though these type of questions are very personal, there will be some people that want to share and that don’t want to share. I’m one I don’t mind sharing, to a certain point, some things are just meant to be kept private, and for themselves, and not to be shared with the world, then there are people that will tell you every little secret they have. Everyone deals with things in their own way, and if it works for them, who am I to say anything, I’m not. So let’s get started, here is today’s new question.

Day 10: Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.

When I first looked at this question I thought to myself. There isn’t anyone I wish I didn’t know. But now that I come to think of it, there is. Funny enough I had a dream of this person last night, it was a combination dream. This person was in it (I choose to leave names out), he comes into my dreams from time to time, which really bothers me, and I know there is some deep seeded reason he continues to invade my dreams, but he has.

This is one person I wish I had never known. I don’t feel comfortable with stating why, but if it’s someone I wish I never knew then it must be very important to me. There was a lot of betrayal and lying involved, and I just don’t have the patience for anyone like that. The PLUS thing about my dream was some of the circumstances, in my dream, I dreamt that the New England Patriots won the Superbowl woohoo, and well when I woke that made me very happy, as you can imagine.

So even though my wish will never come true, it’s something I feel strongly about. I feel it was someone I met that I wished I never did, and felt it to be a huge mistake. The problem is my dreams continue to be invaded with his presence. Which really bothers me for a few days afterwards. There is not much I can do about that, it’ll just take time to eventually never see him in my dreams again.
