Let me start by saying these are my views, my thoughts, so please respect them. I am all for gay marriage. Everyone is entitled to spending their lives together regardless of race, and those that want to spend their lives together want to spend it in an arrangement called a marriage. There are many reasons for wanting to be in a marriage, everyone has their own. I feel that homosexuals aka gays should have the same rights as heterosexuals in a marriage. They are spending their lives together, doing just about everything that a heterosexual couple would do. They may not have kids, but they sure can raise them, they can love them, just like anyone else. So since the gay couples are doing all this, they need to be on the same insurance as well. Be able to be the next of kin if one of them should fall ill and be hospitalised, do you see where I am going with this?

I know there are a lot of people out there, that want to follow the bible and they claim that being gay is a sin and all of that. That’s fine for them, they can believe anything they want. I think religion should be kept out of it. The two should have nothing to do with one another. We were put on this earth to be happy and prosper, if it means loving someone of the same sex, so be it. Seriously who are you to tell someone how to live their life, will you be sitting in their home watching their every move? NO of course not, so get off your homophobic trip and let them be. I strongly believe this because I have a few friends that are gay, and my sister is gay. And I will always stand up for her, and equality for all people. If you don’t agree with what I say that’s fine, I’m not here to debate about it, because I will win lol. NO seriously I’m just here to share my views/thoughts on the topic, and that’s my two cents on this topic

I don’t read as much as I should to be quite honest. I think we all should read more than watching TV or being online, although a lot of people read online, so I suppose that is reading in a form. When I say read, I mean away from the computer, but then again on that note. I use my NOOK heh. Which makes it easier to hold if it’s a thick book I’m reading, or hardcover, those can be heavy as well. Being that this 30 Days of truth, and I’m not sure if I will be able to answer that question because my taste in books, well I suppose they can change my views on things heh, in a scary sort of way.

Day 17: A Book You’ve Read That Changed Your Views On Something

I read the book by Dean Koontz called False Memory, it’s been quite a few years since I read the book. This is what the website says about the book. You can read a plot summary of it at wikipedia here. It’s a really good book, and I don’t really want to give much away, you can read the summary there and decide for yourself.

But what I do have to say about this book is there isn’t many books that make me cry, but this one did. I feel it’s because of one of the scenes, the bath tub scene. It was just so sad the way things happened, and how she came to be there, and what lead to her demise, it’s all psychological, and the fact that you can so easily be mind fucked is what really got to me, it made me mad, upset, cry, and even thought it’s all made up, in a way things like that can really happen. So I guess that’s the best way I can explain how a book changed my views on something. Here is a great review on the book, that I came across *clickity*, I just may re-read this book again, although there are so many Dean Koontz books I need to catch up on

I know that the economy is really bad right now, but why do people feel they need to charge more for things? Don’t they realise they get less customers when they do that? I don’t understand the logic. I know that they (people/businesses) are trying to make up for losses, by over charging for things. I am talking about anything online and offline related. Everything seems to be going up .. and up … and up!! Things need to come down, so we can afford it, and if we can afford it, we will buy more of it, makes sense? Yeah it does! I guess I’m just feeling like ‘What the heck is going on now?’.

I have a Tumblr account, as so many do, I’ve had the same theme on it for a while now, and I’m getting rather bored with it. I came across a lovely Tumblr theme, but unfortunately they won’t let you download it! So if you have more than one Tumblr you would like to use it on, you have to pay for it again, and how much does it cost? $49!! *pulls hair out*!! I’m not really pulling my hair out is that madness or what? No I’m not trying to point fingers or anything like that. But I think if you are paying that much, you should be able to use it on as many accounts as you like. It’s a bit over the top, and I guess that is why I won’t pay $49 for a one time use theme. Any theme on anything. But that is just me

I know I’m going on about something that is just insignificant right? … I don’t think so, not to me it isn’t, it has to do with a lot of things. I know that Tumblr is no big deal, and it really isn’t but that wasn’t my point, and if you didn’t get it then I’m sorry. Most of my stuff is auto posted anyway lol. I guess that was kind of a rant again. Lol. Ok I’m done.

It’s about time to get back to 30 Days of Truth, I spread them out so they don’t seem so repetitive, this question is similar to the last one in a way isn’t it? Although with this question I am not going to just try to pick one thing, it’s going to be generalised, basically I can live without many things, such as Hate and Racism being at the top of the list, I can include Taxes, Depression, Suicide, Child Pornography, you kind of see where I am going now? I think a lot of people would agree with that. Food wise, I would say Liver, as I don’t like it that much, actually I don’t like it at all, I don’t eat it. But then I thought, if my food supply was cut off, and that is all I had to sustain my life, then you bet I would eat it lol.

Day 16: Someone Or Something You Definitely Could Live Without

Let me take a stab at ‘Someone’ I could definitely live without I would say a man I met some time ago, I don’t talk to him anymore, Steve. I would say he is someone I can live without, and be happy about it. I feel the man could of been a good person, but isn’t in my book. He was a minister, and believe me his behavior shows the contrary. I’m glad he is not in my life anymore, and hope whomever comes across him, sees who he really is, and knows to run the other way. I know that may be harsh, and I tried to keep things at a minimum about what he’s done. But I did want to make a point about his name, because I’m sure he probably has come to my website at times, not 100% sure about that now, but it’s a high possibility.

I never thought I could say that about a person, but anyone that does not enrich my life, I can do without. I try to forgive people, I know it’s a very difficult thing to do, but it doesn’t mean I need to have them around me to continuously remind me why I can’t forgive then lol, makes sense hey?. I think that’s the best way I can say it, without being over dramatic hehe. Ok well I guess that’s all for now, I really can’t think of what else to add, except for what I have already. I think it makes a person think though. Is there something or someone you definitely could live without? What is it? Give me one thing, that’s enough. I’m just curious Have a great day!

I was watching the Today show early this morning, and there was a segment from last month I believe. It discussed the videos that kids were putting on YouTube, in regards to asking if they were pretty or ugly? Youtube does not allow anyone under 13 to join but there were a lot of younger kids on there. No surprise there hey? Well these kids, they put themselves out there not knowing that bullies will come out of the wood work like no tomorrow, only to criticize them. So of course they will be put down, made fun of, etc.

I often wonder what are these bullies thinking of? What is in their mind to really put someone through the BS that they put them through. Hasn’t there been enough negative media about the results of what bullying can cause, and isn’t that enough to just stop!!?? No it doesn’t seem like it is, I really don’t know what it’s going to take for them to stop. Perhaps being bullied themselves, or I’ll go even further to say, that it’s possible they had been bullied and that is why the have become the bully? Hmm yeah that could be what it is.

I don’t think I will ever get it, must be some power trip, especially if it’s done behind a computer screen, I think those are the biggest cowards of them all, hide behind a fake name, and computer screen and attack others. At least those that are being criticized have put themselves out there, they are the brave ones. I know we may have all been bullied at some point or another, by fellow students, parents even siblings, and yes it does happen. We’ve read it in the paper, seen it on the television.

I have a personal experience in regards to bulling, I’d like to share. There was a blogger I knew online, a number of years ago, when I was starting to do the blogging/website thing, this bully was cruel, made fun of me and my website, this bully was glorified by other fellow bloggers, that is the part I didn’t understand. Why people would just sit by and at times participate at the slanderous things this person would blog about me and my website. Even if I was a beginner, and they were more advance, that is no reason to belittle someone, rather than do that, they should set an example and help this person out to fix things. I was not the only one this person targeted, there were many others. I didn’t give in to the pressure or anything, I suppose it was a lot easier ignoring it, because it was online. After this person seen no reaction from me, they gave up and moved on to someone else. I suppose this person was waiting for me to say something, so they can continue with the harassment, but I told myself, if I said something in my defense, this would only fuel them, so I didn’t. Years later, I stumble on this persons blog only to read that they will be having a child added to their family, I was happy for them. But I hope that they remember what they did to others, if their child is ever bullied when it’s growing up. I would hate to see that happen to anyone, no one deserves that kind of treatment. Not even a bully or a bullies offspring.

Maybe touch on both? I honestly do not think, but if I had to, I would can live without my wonderful beautiful mobile phone Nexus, it’s not bulky it can fit in my hand, and my bag. Opposed to a laptop which I adore but it is bulky, and I can do a lot of things on my phone that I can do on my laptop, communicate with people, which is something I have the need for, who doesn’t? Photos, oh gosh yeah lots of photos, endless photo taking! I remember when I dropped my old Blackberry in water, and I swore it was not going to work, I read that dropping it in water it would destroy it, well I was so lucky, that baby held on for me until we got our upgrade. It did me good, but I needed to move on.

I’m going a bit off topic here, but what I really really can live without is drama, OH EM GEE!!! I can so live without that, it’s everywhere, on TV, Online, In real life, AHHH! Please, I stay away from it, but sometimes you can’t help yourself, it’s like “If I don’t say something, if I don’t take a stand and express myself and how I feel about a certain subject” then you are deemed a drama queen, thank goodness, I say my piece and that is the end of it, as long as my message gets across I am happy *smiles* I know I touched on like 3 things there, but sometimes you just need to say it!

What about you? Is there something or someone you couldn’t live without, did you try? What is it? I’m curious

So I really can’t say any hero let me down. Yeah I have had people let me down tremendously in my life, but none that I would put on a pedestal as to be called a ‘Hero’. There are people that I have looked up to, but never to that extent.

If I had to really pick a hero, it would of been my mother (God rest her soul), my mother was wonderful person, very loving and affectionate, she was the heart of the family. After she passed away, the family fell apart, things were never the same. It saddens me to think of that, but it’s true. She was everything to everyone, we idolised her so much. Gosh I really miss her *sad moment* yeah, that would be my answer there.

So really in the end, I didn’t really have a Hero that has let me down.

That’s right it’s a Valentine’s Day post. But more importantly are those 6-7 words in my title! You really don’t need to have a man or a woman in your life, to have a great Valentine’s day. There are so many ways to spread love, with friends, other family members, and yes even strangers!! A random act of kindness goes a long way. You can do some blog hopping, and stumble upon someones blog and leave them a super cool comment, that will make their day. You may not know if you did, but what if you did? Wouldn’t that be amazing? A good feeling I would think. If someones blog is one of those ‘I hate Valentine’s Day’, ‘It just another day’, ‘We don’t celebrate it’, ‘I am single today’, etc. Well maybe a nice comment can make that person feel a lot better. I hope to spread the love today

Moving along now. Did you happen to see Google’s logo, the adorable Valentine’s Day animation, it’s darling! I absolutely loved it. Imagine putting a smile on someone’s face, not because you give them all kinds of gifts, but just because you share in something they like. Wow who would of thought?

I joined that website Screenr, and when Google posts those cute animations, I can’t help but record them. It’s really nice to see what has happened during the year. I just started doing it, but I usually just record the animated ones. It can actually be used for all types of things, I don’t think it records very long, but enough to show say a tutorial of something. Just thought I would share.

So what am I getting William for Valentine’s Day, well I am getting him a really nice watch, he needed another one, he seems to go through them so quickly fast! I hope he likes it, the problem is, that it’s not arriving until after Valentine’s Day, but I got him another little goody to hold him over. Hopefully it comes by end of week. I know I should of done this earlier, and I should of, oh lazy me boo on me lol. For Valentine’s Day he got me my new phone, it’s an amazing electronic device, I love it to bits. I got the new Samsung Nexus, it’s just to awesome. I am so very happy to have got rid of the Blackberry, it was so ancient. I can’t believe how fast that faded out. Hope the Nexus doesn’t. But I’m a happy camper!

Anyway that’s it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s with someone you care about, it could be anyone, even your dog or cat or even a fish
